For my senior thesis exploration I wanted to show insight into the life of motorcycle riders and the stereotypes they face today. Motorcycle stereotypes often revolve around the image of the rebellious, free-spirited individual with a penchant for risk-taking and a love for the open road. Popular culture often portrays motorcyclists as tough, leather-clad rebels, embodying a sense of nonconformity and independence. However, it’s essential to recognize that these stereotypes are overly simplistic and do not accurately represent the diverse community of motorcycle enthusiasts. Motorcyclists come from various backgrounds, professions, and lifestyles, challenging the one-dimensional image often perpetuated by media. This magazine aims to convey the message of how the motorcycle lifestyle has changed over time through gender roles and through my eyes.
